Windows Mendukung Haptic Feedback pada Mouse dan Touchpad

Windows 11 version beta is said to bring a new feature called “Haptic signal” in the mouse settings menu. This feature is designed to provide subtle vibrations when users perform certain interactions, such as snipping windows or adjusting objects on the screen. The intensity of the vibration can also be adjusted, similar to the haptic settings on smartphones. With this new feature, the operational experience on Windows is expected to be more interactive and responsive.

Currently, laptops like Microsoft’s Surface line are equipped with touchpads or trackpads that have haptic feedback features. However, with direct OS support, it is likely that other laptop manufacturers will start adopting this technology. This concept is similar to Apple’s Force Touch on MacBooks, which provides physical sensations without actually pressing a button.

Microsoft is not the only one interested in bringing this technology to Windows. Logitech recently added haptic feedback to the MX Master 4 mouse, indicating a potential new trend in the future. However, there is no confirmation yet on when the “Haptic signal” feature will be released for general users. Are you looking forward to it?
